Guitar Hero III here we come

It took me three days to finally try out the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock demo my coworker gave me.

I glanced over at my sticker littered Xbox 360 guitar covered in dust. Two months have passed since I've played my ever favorite Possum Kingdom. Who knows what I'm ranked on the leader boards by now? I do know that I've lost a minimum 35% of my Guitar Hero II powers based on my feeble attempt to play a once mastered Heart Shape Box on Hard at Best Buy. A 12 year old Juan Gonzalez from Idaho probably has every one of my songs beat by 50k points. And Gr1drunner, a fierce competitor amongst my players in my friends list, has already 5 starred every damn song on Expert.

Minutes after firing up the Guitar Hero III demo, I noticed some major enhancements. However, this was just the demo version so only a few the new additions were available. I’m really looking forward to Battle Mode, where you may compete against another player and launch detrimental affects in a Super Mario Kart-esque way. But most importantly, if you haven’t seen the play list, you have to check it out on Wikipedia. I won’t comment on it just yet…you have to see it for yourself.

Since the Cubs are no longer in the running for the World Series, you can guarantee that I’ll be spending every night next week playing GH3. October 28th just can’t get any closer.
