GH3 Songs and a lil MMA

Guitar Hero 3 Strategy Goodness

If you're having trouble with Lou on expert or hard, here is a very easy way to beat him. It's cheap, but i'm sure you're at the point that I was at where I didn't care how I beat him, i just wanted it done.

The first power up he throws at you is luck of the draw. If it's broken string or whammy you're good, amp overload and lefty flip are the next worst, and double notes you're probably going to fail, just restart the song if that happens. :) I'm sure most of you have mastered the Pause-Restart-Accept combo.

However if you survive his first attack (which if you've gotten this far in the game you should be able to) and you're first attack is whammy then you've already won. A few seconds after you obtain your first attack there's a section where Lou has a long string of green notes. If you use whammy on him at the beginning of this section he fails on that attack alone. Then all you have to do is "finish him" by completing a much easier section of the song and you're done with expert. Good luck, hope this helps.

MMA

Strikeforce Odds I care about

Sam Morgan +370
Cung Le -450

Cung has another fight where he heavily favored. When are we going to see Cung test his all around game against a seasoned fighter? As much as I'd like to bet on the guy, the odds suck more than a donkey punch.

Dennis Hallman +115
Sean Salmon -145

I see Salmon's wrestling game immediately taking this bout to the mat where he'll proceed with a nasty fury of ground and pound.

UFC Odds I give a rats ass about

Rashad Evans -275
Michael Bisping +215

Bisping is deservingly the underdog here...and I hope he loses, especially after seeing him undeservingly receive his previous decision win.
Houstan Alexander -155
Thiago Silva +125

Thiago Silva, a black belt in BJJ, would be a great bet. I sure hope Bodog opens up their betting soon. Alexander is talented but his age could be a factor.

Joe Doerksen +120
Ed Herman -150

I really don't care about this fight, but their names look a bunch of dweebs that you would want to pick on in high school.

Chris Lytle +150
Thiago Alves -180

Go Thiago. Go ATT. I hope it's all stand-up and Alves hands Lights Out Lytle a devastating Thai kick to the head.

Luke Caudillo +350
Marcus Aurelio -450

Now that Marcus got his UFC butterflies out of his stomach, he's gonna be ready to rumble and end this bout in Maximus fashion.

Illini baby!

After a brief hiatus from the blogging world and my feeble attempt to meet the ranks of internet celebrity, Bobby Bracelet, I'm back in business.

Mrs. Zero and I spent the weekend in the wonderful city of Jacksonville. Unfortunately, this wedding was conveniently planned on the same day as the Illinois - Ohio State game. I must have hit "refresh" on my Blackberry web browser a good 354 times before I had to pretend I had to take a deuce so I could celebrate outdors. (damn...was that a run-on sentence?)

As for the NFL, Da Bears could be back in business with Rex Grossman. Rex looked sharp, out to prove everyone wrong, and his passing accuracy was back to his prime; he must be taking Levitra.

Guitar Hero III songs on iTunes? Vut?

I have a decent commute to and from work. This gives me ample time to reflect on many topics, such as GH3 strategy, fishing gear, and jiu jitsu techniques. Last week, in regards to GH3, I started thinking about how unfamiliar I am with several of the songs in Guitar Hero III...and that it would be beneficial to me if iTunes sold a package that including all the GH3 songs. So I get into work this morning at 6:30am because I had to drop off Mrs. Zero at the aiport. I fire up my laptop, plug in my iPod, and iTunes opens up with this on the home page. Help me Jebus...this is perfect, but for $59.40! I'll pass on the package and not click "Buy All Songs"; i'll definitely pick up a few of the singles.

Guitar Hero , Fishing? Guitar Hero, Fishing? Finkel, Einhorn?

I woke up Saturday morning semi-debating if I should relax by playing some Guitar Hero 3 or relax by soaking some bait at Anglins. Good thing I chose the latter, because the fishing was amazing, however, far from relaxing. The mack run was exciting, with larger specimens caught just east of the hut. I caught 90% of mine on an X-Rap (lost one though) and the others on my last silver spoon, a 2-ounce crocodile beast. Surprisingly enough, the spoon yielded a decent black tip shark. Thanks Tom for showing me how properly and immediately gut a shark…I never would have known that they expel urine back into their body upon death. And I’m going to give my rendition of one of Cookinman’s shark recipes a try, mainly because I’m too lazy to drive half a mile to Publix for all the ingredients. It’s Sunday and I’m ready for some football.
